- Own the architecture and roadmap of our internal infrastructure tools and data platform
- Design and operate centralized data pipelines aggregating data from multiple products (e.g. drones, IoT and robotics devices), ensuring reliable ingestion and synchronization at scale
- Build and scale backend services, APIs (Python/Django), and storage solutions, owning them end to end in production
- Drive performance, scalability, observability, and security across our backend systems
- Lead greenfield projects from concept to production
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and help shape technical direction
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning production systems
- Expert Python skills and extensive Django experience
- Proven experience building data pipelines in production (ideally Airflow) and strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills
- Solid system design skills, including concurrency and asynchronous programming
- Production experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools (e.g. Grafana)
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and mentor others
- Experience with robotics or IoT systems
- Go or Rust
- Experience building internal tools or developer platforms
- Intrinsic motivation, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindset
- Creative thinker with a structured and systematic approach
- Humble and collaborative — prioritizes collective success over individual recognition
- High ethical standards and disciplined work ethic
- Extra-curricular leadership or achievements are a bonus
- Fluent in English
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance
