ABOUT US: 

As aSenior Software EngineeratSportradar, you will work on the development of Sportradar's data analytics platform and data pipelines to collect, transform, warehouse, and analyze large volumes of sports data and data related to the use of Sportradar's products. You will help develop and support our big data infrastructure, working closely with data scientists and BI developers leveraging the platform for analytics and AI/ML applications. 

Our cloud-native platform uses a combination of managed cloud services and cloud-hosted open source frameworks to manage and query 100s of billions of rows of data and run analytics workloads such as machine learning inference and interactive dashboard applications in production effectively and efficiently.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Design, develop, and runscalable, reliable, and secure data warehousing architectures anddata integration/processing pipelines.
  • Data modeling and integration of data for machine learning, analytics and reporting use cases.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analyses, support data scientists and analysts with their data requirements.
  • Design, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure supporting distributed batch analytics jobs and real-time streaming analytics infrastructure.
  • Support the development of state-of-the-art machine learning, data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging our data.
  • Present technical architectures, ideas, and solutions to fellow engineers in a clear and understandable way, and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack.

 

ABOUT YOU: 

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the following areas:databases, data modeling, ETL processes.
  • Experience withdata warehousing and/or big data query engines such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, Presto.
  • Minimum4 years of hands-on programming experience in the Java ecosystem.
  • Experience with production database administration.
  • Advanced knowledge ofSQL.
  • Experience working withstreaming data(e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Bonus:  Experience with Apache NiFi, Flink, Airflow, or Dagster.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Fluent inEnglish (written and spoken).
  • Autonomous,rigorous,creative, and ateamplayer.
