Your role:

 What you’ll be doing

• Designing, developing, and evolving high-performance backend systems that power our global solutions.

• Building and maintaining microservices-based applications with clean, efficient, and well-structured code.

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and ensure quality delivery.

• Actively contributing to code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Supporting internal and external stakeholders when needed.

• Staying current with Java trends and emerging technologies.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with4+ years of professional Java development experience.

• Solid experience withJava 17 (migration to Java 25 underway) andSpring Boot 2.6 (upgrade to Spring Boot 4 underway).

• Strong understanding ofRESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and multithreading/concurrency.

• Excellent command of theGreek & English language, both written and spoken.

• Experience withMySQL, Hibernate/JPA, JUnit, Git, and modern software development workflows, including automated testing.

• Hands-on experience withGenerative AI/LLM tools in the software development lifecycle, including effective prompting, code validation, security, and responsible AI-assisted development. Familiarity withDocker, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, observability, and production troubleshooting is a plus.

• Collaborative and proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to writing maintainable, high-quality software.
