Senior Site Engineer – Civil

Job Summary:

TheSenior Site Engineer – Civilis responsible for supervising and managing on-site civil construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams while ensuring safety, quality control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities at the project site.

• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.

• Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for smooth site operations.

• Assist in project planning and scheduling activities.

• Review drawings, BOQs, and technical documents before execution.

• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and project managers.

• Identify and resolve technical issues at the site.

• Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and specifications.

• Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of work.

• Maintain quality documentation and compliance records.

• Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures on site.

• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working practices.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.

• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.

• Verify contractor bills and site measurements.

• Manage manpower allocation and productivity at site.

• Maintain site records, daily logs, and progress reports.

• Prepare measurement sheets and assist in billing processes.

• Support project close-out documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering .

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction/site execution.

• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects (depending on company requirement).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Knowledge of IS codes / relevant local construction standards.

• Familiarity with quantity take-offs and BOQ analysis.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera (preferred), and MS Office.
