Job Description Summary
This role serves as the primary security and hospitality presence, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and secure experience for employees, executives, clients, business partners, and guests. This role combines corporate security expertise with a high level of discretion, organization, and customer service to support daily office operations.Job Description
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary security and workplace presence, maintaining a visible, professional, and welcoming environment for employees, executives, clients, and guests in our New York city headquarters.
- Monitor access to office spaces and enforce identification, visitor management, badging, escort, and access-control procedures.
- Identify, document, and escalate security concerns, suspicious activity, safety issues, and unauthorized access incidents.
- Coordinate with Corporate Security, the Security Command Center, building security, and emergency responders during incidents, drills, and elevated-security situations.
- Manage visitor registration, guest arrivals and departures, host notifications, and reception operations while delivering a high-quality guest experience.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, including emergency preparedness, safety communications, training, drills, and compliance documentation.
- Assist employees and visitors during emergencies and help maintain site-specific response, evacuation, and business continuity procedures.
- Provide logistical and front-of-house support for executive meetings, leadership events, client visits, Board activities, and other high-profile gatherings.
- Coordinate executive protection activities and safeguard confidential information related to executive schedules, visitors, and security arrangements.
- Serve as the onsite liaison for workplace and facility issues, coordinating vendor access, reporting maintenance concerns, and supporting office operations, inspections, and recovery efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate security, executive reception, workplace services, hospitality, facilities coordination, executive support, or a related client-facing environment
- Experience interacting professionally with executives, clients, visitors, vendors, and employees
- Strong customer service skills combined with sound security awareness and situational judgment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively when schedules, visitor needs, or workplace conditions change
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and service-oriented during emergencies, disruptions, or difficult interactions
- High integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information
- Trained in verbal and physical de-escalation techniques
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and common visitor or workplace management systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Hospitality, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate security, executive reception, workplace services, hospitality, facilities coordination, executive support, or a related client-facing environment
- Experience in financial services, insurance, professional services, a corporate headquarters, or another executive office environment
- Experience supporting senior executives, leadership events, client meetings, or high-profile visitors
- Experience with visitor management, access control, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, facilities ticketing, or meeting coordination
- CPR, AED, first aid, emergency response, or workplace safety training
- Familiarity with New York City building operations and emergency preparedness practices
Working Conditions
- Office environment 5 days a week
- Ability to work onsite and provide occasional early-morning, evening, or special-event coverage.
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance Monday through Friday is essential due to the role’s floor-level security, guest reception, safety, and executive support responsibilities.
- The role requires regular movement throughout the office, up and down stairs, and may include extended periods at the reception or security station.
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be required for executive visits, events, emergencies, or other business needs.
- The role may involve handling confidential, sensitive, or security-related information.
Compensation
- The Salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000- $130,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
- Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.Â
