What will you be doing?

As aSenior SCADA Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the baggage handling system at Oslo Airport. You will act as a working team leader for the Operations team, taking ownership of system performance, baggage flow, and operational coordination while ensuring maximum system availability and minimizing the risk of delayed baggage.

You will serve as a key communication hub between Operations, Maintenance, and the customer, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of the baggage handling system, ensuring maximum system availability and baggage flow performance.
• Act as the operational lead for Operators and Flow Controllers, providing guidance, coaching, and on-shift support.
• Serve as the primary contact for critical operational incidents, escalations, and customer communication.
• Monitor KPIs, SLA performance, and operational reporting, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate activities with Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, and third-party contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Support training, onboarding, workforce planning, and effective shift handovers across the operation.
• Drive operational excellence through problem-solving, procedure development, testing activities, and process optimization.

What do we ask from you?

As Senior Operator, you will be working in a highly dynamic airport environment where strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. You take ownership, remain calm under pressure, and are able to make sound operational decisions while balancing customer and business priorities.

• Technical or process-related education and at least 5 years of experience in logistics, automation, airport operations, or a similar technical environment.
• Previous team leadership experience or strong operational leadership capabilities in a 24/7 environment.
• Certified Operator within airport operations or comparable operational systems (preferred).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and customers.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
