Senior SAP S/4HANA Consultant: SD, Variant Configuration and B2B EDI

We are seeking a highly experienced consultant inSAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) to take ownership of two key areas: end-to-end Variant Configuration (VC) and B2B EDI integration with customers in SD. The role involves designing, enhancing and optimizing configurable product models, from the product master, classes and characteristics through dependencies and pricing to sales order processing, production and delivery, while also implementing and maintaining EDI integrations for customer-facing processes such as orders, order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices and ASNs. The consultant will work closely with internal SAP, commerce and business teams, contributing to the evolution of the S/4HANA architecture, process and performance improvements, and the connection with the broader SAP ecosystem, including SAP Commerce Cloud, to ensure configurable products and customer orders flow consistently from storefront and EDI channels into S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into S/4HANA SD and VC solutions
• Enhance existing VC models and SD processes, including pricing, availability check and order-to-delivery-to-billing
• Implement and support B2B EDI scenarios and customer onboarding
• Contribute to rollout templates and the localization of new markets
• Support testing, cutover and hypercare, and resolve production issues
• Document solutions and share knowledge with internal teams
• Monitor EDI setups and handle errors to keep integrations stable and standardized

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SD, including S/4HANA projects
• Proven end-to-end expertise in Variant Configuration, covering SD, PP and pricing integration
• Strong background in B2B EDI and IDoc/ALE-based integration, partner profiles and output determination in SD
• Experience in global, multi-market rollouts in an enterprise environment
• Capability to work independently with architectural ownership and to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
• Fluent English; German is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud or e-commerce integration with S/4HANA
• Knowledge of Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) and SAP BTP integration
• Background in the manufacturing industry, with cables and connectivity experience as a plus
