Senior SAP PP/PCS Functional Consultant (Aerospace & Defense)

Our client is seeking a Senior SAP PP/PCS Functional Consultant to support complex SAP S/4HANA manufacturing initiatives within the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role requires deep functional expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Production Control & Scheduling (PCS), with hands-on experience across discrete manufacturing, shop floor execution, and advanced integrations.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level consultant who can lead requirements gathering, solution design, system demonstrations, configuration, and testing while partnering closely with business process owners and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead workstream-level requirements gathering with business process owners, including completion of Business-Driven Configuration Assessment questionnaires.

2. Plan, build, and deliver Workshop A sessions, including system demonstrations and presentation materials.

3. Manage requirements traceability, configuration, and functional documentation.

4. Develop key decision documents, process flows, and authorization/security designs.

5. Support SAP PP/PCS configuration across MBoM, routings, work centers, and shop floor execution best practices.

6. Lead test planning and execution for standard and custom objects.

7. Support change management activities and stakeholder communications.

8. Configure and support reporting related to production planning and execution.

9. Support SAP S/4HANA implementations with a focus on discrete manufacturing processes.

10. Configure and support parameter effectivity and integrations with PLM and MES systems.

11. Maintain material master views including classification, MRP, scheduling, and costing.

12. Manage BoMs, routings, work centers, revisions, and engineering change management (ECM).

13. Support the full production order lifecycle, including MTS and MTO scenarios with WBS and collective orders.

14. Configure and support subcontracting, external processing, production order kitting, goods issues, reversals, rework, and order splitting.

15. Support availability checking, shortage reporting, and batch-managed production processes.

16. Author functional specifications for enhancements and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

● 15+ years of hands-on SAP PP and PCS functional experience
● Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA manufacturing environments
● Deep expertise in discrete manufacturing processes
● Proven experience supporting Aerospace & Defense industry clients
● Strong knowledge of SAP PCS (Production Control & Scheduling)
● Experience integrating SAP with PLM and MES systems
● Strong functional specification and documentation skills
● Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment

● Experience with complex MTS/MTO manufacturing models
● Strong understanding of shop floor execution and advanced production planning
● Experience supporting highly regulated manufacturing environments
● Prior leadership of SAP manufacturing workstreams
