Job Description
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the complete reporting and data integration lifecycle, including business requirements gathering, reporting rationalization, source-to-target mapping, SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA table mapping, data modeling, ingestion design, data validation, reconciliation, and Power BI dashboard delivery.
The candidate should be comfortable working with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, SAP BW/BEx, BusinessObjects/WebI, CDS Views, Embedded Analytics, Snowflake, Dataiku, and Power BI in enterprise reporting modernization and data transformation programs.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in SAP Reporting & Analytics
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures
- Strong knowledge of SAP BW/BEx reporting
- Understanding of SAP BusinessObjects/WebI
- Experience with SAP CDS Views and Embedded Analytics
- Strong understanding of SAP reporting and analytics architecture
- Experience translating business requirements into:
- Functional Specification Documents (FSD)
- Technical Specification Documents (TSD)
- Ingestion TSDs
- Data Model TSDs
- Reporting TSDs
- Experience with report inventory, assessment, and rationalization
- Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping
- Experience with ECC-to-S/4HANA table and field mapping
- Strong experience in data reconciliation and validation
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and production reporting validation
- Ability to work with business, SAP, data engineering, and analytics teams
- Snowflake data modeling
- SAP-to-Snowflake data ingestion architecture
- Dataiku transformation and data preparation concepts
- Enterprise data products and layered architecture:

- Power BI semantic models
- Power BI dashboard/report development
- Experience with modern SAP reporting and analytics modernization
- Experience migrating or rationalizing legacy reporting environments
- Analyze business reporting requirements and translate them into technical and functional specifications.
- Assess existing SAP BW, BEx, Essbase, ECC, and operational reports.
- Perform report inventory and rationalization activities.
- Determine appropriate report disposition, including:
- Retire
- Replace
- Rebuild
- Repoint
- Analyze SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures and identify appropriate source tables, fields, and CDS Views.
- Perform ECC-to-S/4HANA table and field mapping.
- Define and review source-to-target mappings for SAP-to-Snowflake data ingestion.
- Develop and validate future-state data models for analytics and reporting.
- Work closely with Snowflake and Dataiku teams on ingestion and transformation requirements.
- Support development of Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
- Collaborate with Power BI developers on semantic models and dashboard requirements.
- Lead SAP-to-Snowflake data reconciliation and validation.
- Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and reporting validation activities.
- Ensure reporting outputs accurately reconcile with SAP source systems.
- Work with business stakeholders to validate report functionality, data accuracy, and future-state reporting solutions.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide reporting modernization and analytics transformation initiatives.
The resource should be able to:
- Understand complex business reporting requirements and convert them into actionable technical requirements.
- Analyze legacy SAP and enterprise reporting environments.
- Identify opportunities for report consolidation and rationalization.
- Define future-state reporting and analytics solutions.
- Understand the complete SAP → Ingestion → Snowflake → Data Model → Power BI lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with SAP, Snowflake, Dataiku, Data Engineering, and BI teams.
- Lead data validation, reconciliation, and UAT activities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is an analytics-focused SAP specialist who combines strong SAP reporting knowledge with experience in data integration, Snowflake, data modeling, and modern BI platforms. Experience working on large-scale SAP reporting modernization, S/4HANA transformation, or SAP-to-cloud analytics programs is highly desirable.
