Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer

We are seeking aSenior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced marketing automation solutions, drive technical excellence, and mentor engineering talent within a dynamic marketing technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end technical solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with industry best practices
• Build complex multi-channel marketing campaigns using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, MobileConnect, and CloudPages
• Develop efficient AMPscript, SSJS, SQL queries, and HTML/CSS for personalized dynamic content and data processing
• Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC), custom REST/SOAP API integrations, Webhooks, and data extensions to sync real-time data between SFMC and enterprise data platforms
• Optimize SQL query performance, maintain data schemas/hygiene, and manage system limits such as API limits and data extension optimization
• Establish development standards, conduct code reviews, document technical workflows, and mentor mid-level/junior engineers

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 2+ years dedicated to technical engineering within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Advanced experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, CloudPages, Data Designer, Contact Builder, Email Studio, and Mobile Studio
• Proven experience configuring Marketing Cloud Connect (CRM integration) and building API-driven integrations using SFMC REST and SOAP APIs
• Understanding of relational data modeling, data extensions, SQL optimization, and large-scale data imports/exports
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer (Strongly Preferred)
• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator or Consultant
• Familiarity with Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud), Data Cloud (formerly CDP), or Interaction Studio (Personalization)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Git version control, or automated deployment tools for SFMC (e.g., ACCE, CumulusCI, SFMC Package Manager)
