Senior Quality Manager, ROC Quality Management

ポジション概要 Position Overview
本ポジションは、新しいビジネスや特殊輸送が生み出す、前例のないミドルマイル（拠点間輸送）の配送品質課題を担うプログラムマネージャーの役割です。新規・特殊輸送で発生する輸送貨物の遅延に対し、品質を守る手法を自ら設計・実行し、プログラムとして確立していきます。確立された品質管理の方法論を土台にしつつも、その枠に捉われず、新しい輸送形態に適したミドルマイル品質マネジメントの手法をゼロから構築します。

This is a program manager role that owns the unprecedented Middle Mile (inter-facility transportation) delivery-quality challenges created by new businesses and special transportation. You will design and execute methods to protect quality against the transportation delays arising from new and special transportation, and establish them as a program. Building on established quality-management methodologies - but not bound by them - you will create, from the ground up, Middle Mile quality-management methods suited to new transportation modes.

JP ATS ROC - Quality Management (QM) is the team within the ROC (Relay Operations Center) that safeguards delivery quality across the Middle Mile (inter-facility transportation). Our mission is to keep the Promise (promised delivery date) we make to customers. While we hold established methodologies, we also boldly take on uncharted areas such as new businesses and special transportation, continuously evolving our quality-management methods beyond conventional frames. Grounded in data and metrics, we serve as the hub connecting Operations, Transportation, and Leadership.

担当は、新しいビジネス・特殊輸送で発生するミドルマイルの輸送遅延・品質課題です。これらの原因を分析し、既存の品質管理手法が通用するか否かを見極めたうえで、必要に応じて新しい輸送形態に適した方法論を構築・実行します。Transportation / Capacity Planning や FC / Sort Center / Delivery Station のオペレーションと連携し、現場実態に即した実行可能なプログラムへと落とし込みます。あわせて、配送予定日の精度の維持・改善や、対応プロセスの標準化・プログラム化を推進し、再現性とスケーラビリティを確保します。


You will own the Middle Mile transportation delays and quality issues arising from new businesses and special transportation. You will analyze their root causes, assess whether existing quality-management methods apply, and - where needed - build and execute methodologies suited to new transportation modes. Partnering with Transportation / Capacity Planning and FC / Sort Center / Delivery Station operations, you will translate these into executable programs grounded in on-the-ground realities. You will also drive the maintenance and improvement of delivery-date accuracy and the standardization and productization of the response process to ensure repeatability and scalability.

Key job responsibilities

- FC / Sort Center / Delivery Station のオペレーションと連携し、現場実態に即した実行可能なプログラムを展開する

- 対応プロセスを標準化・プログラム化し、再現性とスケーラビリティを確保する

- リーダーシップ／経営層に対し、戦略・進捗・成果をデータに基づき明確にコミュニケーションする

- Own the Middle Mile transportation delays and quality issues arising from new businesses and special transportation, and lead their root-cause analysis and improvement

- Leverage established quality-management methodologies while, unbound by their conventional frame, building and executing Middle Mile quality-management methods suited to new transportation modes

- Lead the maintenance and improvement of delivery-date accuracy (on-time delivery)

- Partner with Transportation / Capacity Planning to design quality and promised-delivery-date logic that reflects transportation capacity constraints

- Work with FC / Sort Center / Delivery Station operations to deploy executable programs grounded in on-the-ground realities

- Standardize and productize the response process to ensure repeatability and scalability

- Communicate strategy, progress, and results clearly and with data to leadership

A day in the life
1日の流れ
午前中は、各種メトリクスをもとにした分析業務が中心です。担当するミドルマイルの輸送遅延・品質課題の動向をデータから読み解き、課題の所在や改善の仮説を整理します。午後は、その分析結果をもとに関係者との協議・連携を行い、現場で実行可能な打ち手へと落とし込みます。
また、月に1回程度は実際の現場に足を運び、見学・観察を通じて得られたインサイトから品質向上の糸口を探ります。データ上では見えにくい実態を把握し、データと実オペレーションを紐づけることで、より精度の高い課題解決につなげます。

Mornings center on analysis work driven by various metrics. You read the trends of the Middle Mile transportation delays and quality issues you own from the data, and organize where the problems lie and your hypotheses for improvement. In the afternoon, based on those analyses, you hold discussions and collaborate with stakeholders - such as Transportation / Capacity Planning and FC / Sort Center / Delivery Station operations - to translate them into actions that can be executed on the ground.

In addition, roughly once a month you visit actual sites, seeking clues for quality improvement from the insights gained through observation and firsthand study. By grasping the realities that are hard to see in the data alone and connecting data with actual operations, you drive more accurate problem-solving.

Basic qualifications

- プログラムマネジメントまたはプロジェクトマネジメントの経験5年以上
- データとメトリクスを用いて改善を特定・推進した経験
- プログラム戦略を描き、それを実行して定量的な結果を収めた経験
- 日常会話レベル以上の日本語能力
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Preferred qualifications

- 5〜6名規模のPeople／チームマネジメント経験（将来的なPeople Managerへの移行を見据えて）
- プロセス改善を推進した経験2年以上
- 修士号またはMBA（ビジネス、オペレーション、人事、組織開発または関連分野）
- 新規事業・新しい輸送形態の立ち上げ、またはゼロからの方法論構築の経験（あれば望ましい）
- サプライチェーン・輸送・ミドルマイル／ラストマイル領域での品質管理・配送予定日最適化に関する知見
- 英語でのビジネスコミュニケーション能力
- 5+ years of supply chain (or operations) experience
- Experience deriving answers, formulating strategy, and driving execution under high uncertainty
- Experience managing a team of 5-6 people (in view of a future transition to a People Manager role)
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, organizational development or related field
- Experience standing up new businesses / new transportation modes, or building methodologies from the ground up (preferred)
- Knowledge of quality management and promised-delivery-date optimization in supply chain, transportation, or Middle Mile / last-mile domains
- Business communication skills in English
