Senior QA Engineer : Automation

Summary:

Evolutyz is seeking a skilled and experienced professional in Visakhapatnam to join our team. The role involves working on automation testing, specifically using Playwright with TypeScript or C#. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining test suites, automating data validation processes, and utilizing AI-driven tools in testing. This position also involves mentoring junior QA Engineers and stepping in for the QA Lead when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Playwright test suites (TypeScript or C#) against the framework defined by the Automation Architect for UI, API (REST/SOAP), and data layers.
• Automate validation of third-party data ingestions and batch jobs: trigger, verify via API and SQL assertions, and report.
• Work AI-natively by consuming and reviewing AI-generated test cases, tuning agent playbooks, using Copilot-based workflows daily, and knowing when not to trust them.
• Own test code quality through PR reviews, flaky-test burn-down, and CI pipeline health on GitHub Actions.
• Mentor QA Engineers and deputize for the QA Lead in delivery ceremonies when needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation with a focus on Playwright and Selenium, experience in API test automation, and familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools.

Required Skills:

• 5–8 years in test automation with strong programming skills in TypeScript and/or C#.
• Experience with Playwright in production use and a solid Selenium background.
• API test automation (REST and SOAP), SQL for data validation.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on exposure to AI-assisted testing or development tooling (Copilot or similar) with sound review judgment.
• Comfortable working in a small pod with real ownership.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS familiarity.
• Synthetic test data tooling.
• Experience with Jira.
• Basic knowledge of performance testing.
• Experience with Selenium-to-Playwright migration.
