Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance activities, develop effective testing strategies, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, test automation, API testing, performance testing, and defect management, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvements in software quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify testing scope and risks.

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java and Playwright.

• Create reusable automation scripts using TestNG, JUnit, and Page Object Model (POM).

• Perform API testing using Postman and REST Assured.

• Execute database testing and data validation using SQL queries.

• Conduct performance and load testing using Apache JMeter.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.

• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve complex defects.

• Review test cases, automation scripts, and test results to ensure quality standards.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance on testing practices.

• Coordinate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

• Define and monitor quality metrics, automation coverage, defect leakage, and test execution status.

• Support release validation, production issue investigation, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, reduce flaky tests, and optimize execution time.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, release planning, and retrospectives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Experience with cross-browser testing and parallel test execution.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, and containerized test environments.

• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations.

• Understanding of application monitoring, log analysis, and root cause analysis.

• Familiarity with security testing and accessibility testing.

• Experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as Cursor or Claude.

• Knowledge of test metrics, risk-based testing, and quality engineering practices.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in software testing and quality engineering.

• Testing or automation certifications are an advantage.
