Senior Python Developer - Full Stack / Backend & Cloud-Native - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking for someone who isstrong technically, hands-on, and reasonably architecture-minded — someone who can take ownership of development while also gradually taking responsibility for solution design and technical decisions.

The candidate should be comfortable working acrossbackend + frontend + DevOps/cloud-native areas, rather than being limited to a single technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintainbackend applications, preferably using Python.
• Contribute tofrontend application development and work across the full technology stack when required.
• Design and implementREST APIs, backend services, data processing and integrations.
• Develop applications that interact efficiently withdatabases and other backend systems.
• Work withDocker containers and Kubernetesfor application deployment and operations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and demonstrate good understanding ofDevOps practices.
• Work with workflow/orchestration technologies such asArgo Workflows.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture forsmall- to medium-sized requirements.
• Work closely with the architect to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, identify design alternatives, and proactively highlight technical risks and dependencies.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the solution.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Architects, developers, and other stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on software development experience.
• Strongbackend development experience, preferably withPython.
• Good understanding ofAPI development, service-based architectures, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience withDocker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding ofdatabases, data modelling, queries, and application-to-database interactions.
• Experience withCI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ability to independently analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to contribute totechnical design and architecture discussions.
• Good understanding of software engineering practices, testing, code quality, and version control.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Frontend development experience with modern web frameworks such asReact, Angular, or similar.
• Experience withArgo Workflows or similar workflow/orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience working with distributed systems or microservices.
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and some exposure to building or integrating AI agents or LLM-based workflows is a plus.
