Pratt & Whitney’s Engineering Support to Operations Engineering (ESTO) organization is seeking a proactive, goal-oriented, and detail-focusedSenior Project Engineer to serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader in Columbus, Georgia. This role provides project management and cross-functional leadership for mature commercial engine compressor blades and vanes, partnering with Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), ESTO, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams at Columbus Forge.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and coordinate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), aligning cross-functional resources to meet technical requirements, project objectives, and established deliverables.
- Plan, track, and report project progress, budgets, schedules, and hardware/task execution to ensure established targets are achieved.
- Identify project issues, develop resolution strategies, and facilitate execution across functional organizations to maintain project objectives and timelines.
- Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering changes, while coordinating the evaluation and disposition of quality nonconformances and supplier requests for information.
- Prepare and present project status, technical content, risks, and recommendations to ESTO leadership, CIPTs, and Pratt & Whitney management.
Travel Requirement: less than 10% | Domestic, International.
What You Will Learn:
- Gain hands-on experience leading cross-functional engineering teams supporting mature commercial engine hardware.
- Develop project management expertise across cost, schedule, scope, and technical deliverables.
- Gain exposure to engineering change management, quality nonconformance resolution, and supplier technical coordination.
- Develop experience working with engineering, manufacturing, quality, CIPT, and ESTO organizations.
- Strengthen executive-level communication and technical presentation skills through interaction with engineering and program leadership.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience in engineering, coordinating engineering projects, technical activities, or cross-functional teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other project scheduling and management tools.
- Experience with project, cost, and schedule management in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.
- Experience with process improvement, analytical problem-solving, and developing creative solutions while demonstrating sound judgment and professional maturity.

Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO):ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
