This is a high-impact role for someone who challenges conventional thinking, works well with ambiguity and turns complex customer and business problems into practical outcomes.

As Senior Product Manager, you’ll join Unloan’s Origination crew and focus on the home loan settlement experience, covering the customer journey from unconditional approval through to formal settlement.

You’ll own a roadmap focused on increasing automation and creating a more seamless settlement experience. Working from discovery and ideation through to design, delivery and testing, you’ll test ideas, learn quickly and adapt as priorities evolve, while balancing customer, business, risk and regulatory considerations.

The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Unloan operates across three crews spanning acquisition, origination and the in-life home loan experience. This role sits within Origination, supporting the customer journey from application through to settlement.

Working within our cross-functional squad, you will:

• Own key settlement initiatives end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and testing.
• Lead automation and technically complex solutions across backend systems, integrations and APIs.
• Progress direct PEXA integration and automate associated settlement workflows.
• Partner closely with engineers, designers, Line 1 Risk and other delivery partners to achieve customer and business outcomes.
• Prioritise opportunities and make considered trade-offs to simplify key customer moments after approval.
• Challenge established approaches, test ideas and adapt as customer needs, technology and priorities evolve.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

Demonstrate a strong technical mindset, curiosity and the confidence to work closely with engineers while keeping customer outcomes front of mind.

Product management experience will be valuable, but we’re also interested in people from adjacent technical disciplines who have worked closely with product teams and can demonstrate ownership, adaptability and delivery at pace.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Product management, product ownership or relevant experience in a technically complex environment.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to work effectively with engineers across backend systems, integrations and APIs.
• Experience in or around home lending, particularly where technology and lending journeys intersect.
• Experience owning work end-to-end, from exploring opportunities through design, delivery and testing.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer-centred thinking, with the ability to balance customer experience, technical complexity and business needs.
• A curious and adaptable approach, with the confidence to navigate ambiguity, challenge conventional thinking and find practical ways forward.
