Senior Power BI Developer

Role: Senior Power BI Developer

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)

Contract Role

In-person Interview is required

Responsibilities:

· Design and develop reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc queries.

· Collaborate with business users to understand and meet their requirements.

· Utilize data modeling techniques using Power Query/Power Pivot.

· Develop and optimize DAX queries.

· Use Power BI Report Builder and/or create Paginated Reports.

· Manage and query SQL Server or any other relational databases.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 10+ years of combined experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and reporting systems.

· At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in relational and multi-dimensional (OLAP) data modeling.

· Proficiency in data modeling using Power Query and Power Pivot.

· Strong expertise in DAX and Power BI Report Builder and/or Paginated Reports.

· Excellent SQL skills, particularly with SQL Server or similar relational databases, including query optimization and understanding of relational and dimensional database structures.

· Experience working with DataBricks.

· Experience working in Financial domain, specifically in Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivative businesses.

· Ability to analyze user requirements, provide recommendations, and implement effective solutions.

· Self-driven with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver quick resolutions.

· Experience managing full project life cycles from inception to deployment.

· Proven capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Working knowledge of Data Flows.

· Experience with PBRS (Power BI Report Server).

· Familiarity with Power On.

· Experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
