Senior Performance Test Engineer

Location: Mostly Remote, onsite in Middletown, PA for meetings

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to lead performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing across complex enterprise applications and integrations. This role will use NeoLoad to evaluate system performance, identify bottlenecks, validate high-volume transaction processing, and support release readiness through detailed analysis and reporting.

Job Duties

• Define performance testing strategies, workloads, non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using NeoLoad.

• Conduct performance testing across SAP systems, CRM applications, analytics platforms, middleware, APIs, and customer-facing applications.

• Simulate real-world enterprise workloads, including billing cycles, payment processing, tolling transactions, batch jobs, analytics queries, and high-volume integrations.

• Validate application behavior under concurrent user activity, high-volume API traffic, batch processing, and large-scale financial operations.

• Perform end-to-end performance testing of CRM-to-SAP and SAP-to-CRM integrations, including synchronous and asynchronous workflows.

• Monitor response times, throughput, error rates, resource utilization, and system capacity to identify performance bottlenecks.

• Analyze test results across application, integration, analytics, and infrastructure layers.

• Prepare performance test reports, dashboards, and executive summaries with go/no-go recommendations.

• Develop and maintain NeoLoad test scripts and perform API, integration, and data-pipeline performance testing.

• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

• Establish performance baselines and support release-to-release benchmarking and regression analysis.

• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), program increment (PI) cycles, demonstrations, go-live activities, and hypercare.

• Document test plans, scripts, technical designs, impact analyses, lessons learned, and performance testing best practices.

• Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality governance, and organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT testing experience.

• 4+ years of hands-on performance/load testing experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with NeoLoad.

• Experience testing enterprise-scale applications with high transaction volumes.

• Experience testing SAP systems, CRM platforms, analytics platforms, and complex enterprise integrations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP environments, including SAP BRIM, S/4HANA, and ECC.

• Experience with SAP Convergent Mediation (CM).

• Experience with SAP Datasphere.

• Experience testing bidirectional CRM-to-SAP integrations.

• Experience testing CRM-to-ERP integrations.

• Experience with tolling, transportation, or public-sector systems.

• Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure performance testing.

• Strong understanding of load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.

• Strong understanding of API and middleware performance testing.

• Strong understanding of batch processing, mediation, analytics, and asynchronous processing validation.
