We’re looking for a Senior Paid Social Manager to join our Leeds or Manchester office. Reporting to the Head of Paid Social, you’ll lead paid social strategy and delivery across your client portfolio, combining hands-on platform expertise with commercial thinking, creative testing and confident client leadership.

You’ll have the autonomy to independently push accounts forward, make critical channel-level decisions and develop testing ideas that drive meaningful business results. You’ll also line-manage and mentor Paid Media Executives and Paid Media Managers, helping them develop their expertise and deliver outstanding work.

A bit about Connective3

We have a vision of creating a ‘1000 person A team’. Our clients want to work with the best, and we want to be the best.

We believe our approach to growth creates opportunities for our business and, more importantly, for our people. We’ve created a culture of continuous learning and innovation, focused on bringing the best out of our team and delivering the best results for our clients.

Through our company mentor scheme, monthly innovation days and yearly team training budgets, we give our people the support to deepen their expertise, challenge established approaches and progress their careers.

If you’re naturally collaborative, curious about what drives performance and ready to make a bigger impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paid social strategy and performance across your client portfolio, translating business objectives into clear channel strategies, media plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Independently drive accounts forward, making critical channel-level decisions and proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance, address challenges and unlock growth.

  • Own hands-on account delivery, balancing campaign management, optimisation and analysis with effective delegation and oversight.

  • Line-manage and mentor Paid Media Executives and Paid Media Managers, setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback and supporting their development and progression.

  • Build trusted client relationships, leading regular performance calls and confidently challenging briefs, assumptions and expectations where needed.

  • Develop and own media plans, forecasts and budget recommendations with a clear commercial rationale, ensuring paid social activity supports wider marketing objectives.

  • Take accountability for budget pacing and performance against agreed targets, identifying risks early and implementing clear action plans.

  • Develop and prioritise testing ideas across audiences, creative, campaign structures and landing pages, using clear hypotheses and success measures to guide decisions.

  • Lead creative performance analysis and briefing, partnering with design and creative teams to develop new concepts and iterative testing roadmaps.

  • Evaluate performance beyond platform-reported results, considering tracking quality, attribution limitations and the wider customer journey when making recommendations.

  • Lead monthly and quarterly paid social reviews, turning data into a clear story about business impact, lessons learned and future opportunities.

  • Delegate work effectively, review outputs and maintain high delivery standards across the accounts you oversee.

  • Conduct regular account audits, ensuring best practice is applied consistently and that learning is shared across the team.

  • Build strong relationships with platform partners and suppliers, using relevant insights, tools and beta opportunities to improve client performance.

  • Collaborate with strategists and specialists across paid media, creative, analytics and other relevant teams to strengthen wider client strategy and results.

  • Contribute paid social expertise to pitches, proposals and account growth opportunities, ensuring recommendations are evidence-led and deliverable.

  • Help improve the team’s processes, tools and ways of working, sharing useful developments in platforms, automation and measurement.

Requirements

  • At least three years’ experience in paid social, with a proven track record of independently leading accounts and delivering measurable results.

  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, alongside experience across other paid social platforms.

  • Experience developing and owning paid social strategies, media plans, forecasts and testing roadmaps, with clear examples of how your decisions improved performance.

  • Experience translating detailed creative performance insights into effective briefs and structured testing programmes.

  • Experience managing and mentoring colleagues, setting expectations, delegating effectively and supporting individual development.

  • Strong client leadership and presentation skills, including explaining complex results, recommending a course of action and managing challenging performance conversations.

  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to connect campaign metrics to outcomes such as revenue, profitability, customer acquisition or lead quality.

  • A strong understanding of tracking, tagging and conversion measurement, including platform pixels, server-side tracking and attribution limitations.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to question the data, identify performance drivers and turn findings into practical recommendations.

  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise competing demands across multiple accounts and team responsibilities.

  • A collaborative, curious and growth-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working.

  • Meta Blueprint certification, supported by demonstrable practical expertise.
