  • Machine Tool Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of machine tool design, assembly, testing, and servicing to guide operations strategy and execution with a strong technical foundation.

  • KPI Management: Monitor and improve key production metrics including OEE, scrap rate, cycle times, and labor productivity, ensuring alignment with business targets and customer expectations.

  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Champion the implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies to eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and improve throughput across all departments.

  • Product Industrialization: Collaborate closely with Engineering and R&D teams on the industrialization of new and custom machine tools, ensuring manufacturability and operational scalability.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure operations comply with applicable quality standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations, fostering a culture of operational excellence and risk mitigation.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, promoting aresults-driven, collaborative culture with a focus on accountability and continuous learning.

  • Digital Transformation: Drive adoption of Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing technologies, including ERP enhancements and shop floor digitalization initiatives.

  • Supplier & Partner Engagement: Interface with strategic suppliers and service partners to ensure alignment on delivery schedules, quality expectations, and innovation partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Management Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).

  • 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, with a strong preference for machine tools or complex mechanical equipment.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including precision machining, mechanical assembly, system testing, and lifecycle service.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement frameworks.

  • Background in high-mix, low-volume production environments and custom machine builds is advantageous.

  • Large machine manufacturing experience a big plus.

Location & Compensation:
