As a Senior Manager, Requirements and Capabilities/Business Development – Strategic Deterrence Communications, you will play a key role in driving modernization efforts for National and Department of Defense (DoD) communications. You will serve as a trusted advisor and spokesperson for the organization, influencing policies, programs, and long-term objectives related to resilient communications systems supporting the national strategic deterrence mission. This position will also focus on cultivating industry partnerships and recommending strategic alliances to enhance capabilities.


This position can work remotely however it will be ideal to be located near one of the following locations:

  • Marlborough, MA
  • Largo. FL
  • Washington DC
  • El Segundo, CA

 

What You Will Do

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and capture new business initiatives for Strategic Communications, including Nuclear C3, National C3, and adjacent markets
  • Serve as a leader on capture teams during all phases of capture activities, including opportunity identification, qualification, competitive positioning, strategy development, and proposal creation
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to understand their needs and priorities
  • Develop and execute contact plans, including engagements with senior executives
  • Advise the organization on DoD and National Communications concepts of operations (CONOPS), including satellite and terrestrial communications systems
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to develop solutions for complex customer challenges
  • Create pursuit strategies, account strategies, and provide accurate and timely forecasting of orders
  • Analyze customer requirements, perform competitive assessments, and recommend price-to-win strategies for pursuits
  • Travel up to 25-30% to support business development activities and customer engagement

 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of experience or minimum of 7 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience with NC3 systems, National Leadership Command Capability, and Senior Leader Communications capabilities
  • Prior work experience with Radio Frequency (RF) products, Voice and Video conferencing, Military Satcom, and terrestrial networking
  • ActiveandtransferableU.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is requiredprior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with the DoD budget process and acquisition requirements process
  • Prior work experience with USSTRATCOM, OSD A&S, Service Headquarters (OPNAV/SecNav or HAF/SAF), DISA, or Joint Staff

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
