POSITION: Senior Manager of People Data and Systems
LOCATION: DSST: Home Office located in Denver, CO
SALARY:$82,500 - $100,700 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!

DSST Public Schools (DSST) seeks a Senior Manager of People Data and Systems to join one of the leading charter school organizations in Colorado. The Senior Manager of People Data plays a central role in ensuring there are effective and orderly Human Capital systems to support 1,000+ DSST Staff members. In addition to managing critical Human Capital systems, this person will interact with a wide variety of constituents and must be able to communicate effectively with teachers, families, school leaders, senior leaders, board members and other stakeholders.Â
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads development and implementation of strategic Talent Operations initiatives and systems for DSST including but not limited to: Workday HRIS system, employee training and educational tools and network-wide compensation.
- Execute and deliver on the organization's mission and goals by providing people data and strategy.
- Leads special projects as needed related to Talent Operations including but not limited to Network-wide policy and implementation of core HR functions.
- Partners with School Leaders to update, implement, support, and communicate talent operations procedures, messages and strategies.
- Gather, assess, and interpret team member data and information to analyze specific business challenges and offer appropriate solutions and recommendations.
- Research, develop, and execute Talent Operations Business and Human Resources initiatives that deliver measurable and reportable staff support results.
- Build collaborative partnerships with Home Office functional area experts to improve work execution, build culture and improve team member support.
- Supports with special projects as needed related to Talent Operations including but not limited to Staff Wellness, Staff & Leadership Development, Benefits and Performance Management.
- As a leader in Human Capital, partners with School Leaders to update, implement, support and communicate talent operations procedures, messages and strategies.
- Other duties as assigned based on organizational priorities.

SKILLS:
Systems & Data (60%): A belief in the power of systems & data to shape our understanding and help navigate an equitable & effective path forward.
- Develop comprehensive HR systems, protocols, documentation, and guidance.
- Oversee Workday HCM system maintenance, benefits administration, and employee training
- Resolve issues within the HCM system and analyze current and future system needs to provide long-term solutions
- Create and update reports in our HCM system to provide relevant HR data to DSST leadership, school leaders, people managers, and staff
- Champion people data by identifying trends and opportunities to enhance employee engagement, streamline planning, improve retention and foster a culture of continuous development and innovation within the organization.
- A desire to constantly learn in order to both problem-solve critical challenges as well as discover new approaches to supporting DSST team members.
Project Leadership (25%): Determination to independently lead high-quality network-level project work that supports critical Human Capital initiatives in a way that demonstrates our commitment to people.
- Ability to lead assigned projects to completion including creating & executing project documentation, cross-functional project meetings, all staff communications and project reflections.Â
- Displays maturity and ability to work independently

- Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

- Ability to build trust with DSST leaders and team members through consistent communication and action aligned with our DSST’s view of the Human Condition.

- The ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team of HR professionals (may include leading and managing other HR Business Partners) in a high growth, rapidly changing environment
- The ability to understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
- The desire and ability to be an influential and credible senior HR leader within the team, including setting the tone, agenda, and direction of the HR team and providing the necessary support, follow up, and leadership to ensure the team achieves desired results
- Understand the entire talent system and each stage of the employee lifecycle and applies that understanding to craft integrated solutions that are thoughtful and reinforced by upstream and downstream talent programs
Additional Duties (5%)

- Engage with our school communities to actively build relationships between our schools and the home office
- Participate in & support the execution of Home Office & Network-wide events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of professional experience including project management and proven ability to lead challenging people work
- 4+ years of demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding team goals or project/initiative success.
- 4+ years of demonstrated success working across multiple teams/stakeholders (both internal & external)
- Experience configuring and administering Workday HRIS, including business process design, security administration, organizational structure management, reporting, and system optimization.
- Experience building or significantly enhancing Workday functionality to improve HR, talent, payroll, or operational workflows strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Excellent communication, organization, time-management and leadership skills
- Excellent people leadership skills; able to provide timely and actionable feedback to inspire and move direct reports to action
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Bachelor’s Degree required
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional experience including human resources and project leadership experience
