Build the FP&A Function for a High-Growth, PE-Backed Organization

Our client, a rapidly growingprivate equity-backed, multi-unit organization, is seeking aSenior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to take ownership of its financial planning, forecasting, board reporting, strategic modeling, and performance analytics capabilities.

This is anewly created, highly visible position reporting directly to the CFO. As the organization continues to expand its geographic footprint and capital investment program, this individual will build the analytical infrastructure needed to support smarter operating and investment decisions.

This is not a role where financial modeling is delegated to a large team. We are looking for ahands-on FP&A leader who can personally build sophisticated financial models, analyze unit-level performance, prepare board and lender reporting, and translate financial results into actionable business recommendations.

What You'll Own

Board & Investor Reporting

  • Produce monthlyboard reporting packages, including unit-level P&Ls, EBITDA bridges, revenue tracking, marketing attribution, and forward-looking financial outlooks

  • Prepare executive-level management commentary and meaningful variance analysis

  • Maintain lender reporting packages and monitordebt coverage and fixed charge coverage ratio covenants

  • Develop forward-looking covenant dashboards to identify potential issues early and support proactive lender communication

  • Present complex financial information clearly and confidently to senior leadership, ownership, and lenders

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead theannual operating plan, budgeting, and quarterly reforecasting processes

  • Develop and maintain a rolling, integrated financial model connecting:

    • Unit/store growth

    • Headcount

    • Capital expenditures

    • Debt structure

    • EBITDA

    • Free cash flow

  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure financial planning is integrated across the organization

  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions

Multi-Unit Performance Analytics

  • Ownunit-level P&L analysis across the portfolio

  • Identify performance outliers, trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Partner with Operations to translate financial insights into actionable operating priorities

  • Monitor new location ramp performance against underwriting assumptions

  • Identify deviations from expected performance early and recommend corrective actions

  • Develop market and portfolio-level performance analytics

Greenfield & Acquisition Modeling

  • Build financial models for new locations, including:

    • Market sizing

    • Projected unit economics

    • Payback periods

    • Return on invested capital, ROIC

  • Support acquisition opportunities throughdeal modeling, synergy analysis, and integration forecasting

  • Conduct market-level financial research to support expansion and capital allocation decisions

  • Evaluate competing investment opportunities to help determine where capital can generate the strongest returns

Cross-Functional Financial Support

  • Provide financial modeling and analytical support forOperations, Marketing, and Human Resources

  • Develop ROI and project-level return analyses for major business initiatives

  • Partner with operational leaders to translate financial data into practical business decisions

  • Communicate financial concepts effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Build the FP&A Infrastructure

A major component of this opportunity is creating a stronger, scalable FP&A infrastructure.

The organization currently operates with limited consolidated data pipelines. The Senior Manager, FP&A will help define and build connections acrosspoint-of-sale, payroll, ERP, and financial planning systems to establish a reliable single source of truth for financial reporting and analytics.

You will also own theFP&A technology stack, serving as the internal power user and primary owner ofVena, the company's financial planning and consolidation platform.

This requires someone who understands that sophisticated FP&A reporting depends not only on the front-end tool, but also on theunderlying data architecture, integrations, configuration, and reporting logic.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of progressive FP&A experience

  • Meaningful experience within aprivate equity-backed organization

  • Demonstrated hands-on financial modeling expertise

  • Experience building and maintaining sophisticated integrated financial models

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning

  • Experience preparingboard, investor, or executive-level financial reporting

  • Covenant reporting and/or lender-facing FP&A experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience withVena or a comparable financial planning and consolidation platform

  • Ability and willingness to serve as the primary internal owner of the FP&A technology environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Highly Preferred Experience

Experience within amulti-unit operating environment is strongly preferred, particularly within:

Franchise • Retail • Restaurants • Consumer Services • Multi-Location Service Businesses

Experience supportinggreenfield expansion, acquisitions, new-unit economics, capital allocation, or M&A modeling is also highly desirable.

Who Will Stand Out?

The strongest candidates will bring a combination of:

Private Equity-Backed FP&A + Multi-Unit Operations + Hands-On Financial Modeling + Board Reporting + Lender/Covenant Reporting + Vena + Strategic Finance

You should be comfortable moving between detailed Excel modeling and executive-level communication. One day may involve analyzing individual location P&Ls and building an acquisition model, while another may involve preparing the CFO for a board meeting or evaluating the financial return of a new market expansion.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who canbuild, not simply maintain, an established FP&A process.

Make an Impact

This is an opportunity to step into a newly created role with direct CFO exposure and help shape the FP&A function of a growing, private equity-backed organization.

If you are a hands-on FP&A leader who enjoysbuilding financial infrastructure, analyzing multi-unit performance, modeling growth opportunities, and turning complex financial data into strategic business decisions, we want to hear from you.

Apply today to help build the financial planning and analytics capabilities that will support the organization's next stage of growth.
