This is a hybrid position; however, it is required that successful candidate and report on-site on a regular basis and as-needed .

Position Overview

Crown Point Technologies is seeking aKnowledge Graph Engineer to support the development and integration of semantic data capabilities for a U.S. Department of War customer.

The engineer will design, develop, and maintainRDF-based knowledge graphs, ontologies, and semantic mappings that enable data from disparate systems and domains to be represented through consistent, reusable semantic models.

This role requires hands-on experience withRDF, SPARQL, ontology engineering, and semantic data mapping. The engineer will work closely with software engineers, data engineers, systems engineers, domain experts, and mission stakeholders to understand source data, develop semantic models, map source concepts to those models, and integrate knowledge graph capabilities into larger software and data environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong semantic modeling skills with practical engineering experience and can translate complex domain concepts and heterogeneous source data into well-structured, machine-readable knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, extend, and maintainRDF-based knowledge graphs and ontologies.
• Develop semantic models representing complex domain concepts, entities, attributes, relationships, events, and activities.
• Analyze source-system data models, schemas, terminology, and documentation to identify appropriate semantic representations.
• Develop and maintainmappings and crosswalks between source-system data and canonical ontologies.
• Map relational, JSON, XML, CSV, API-based, and other structured or semi-structured data into RDF representations.
• Evaluate existing ontology classes and properties before introducing new semantic concepts.
• Determine appropriate placement of new concepts within established ontology hierarchies.
• Reuse and align with existing domain, upper-level, and common ontologies where appropriate.
