Responsibilities

• Engineer reliable application platforms that can grow with business demand and comply with technical requirements
• Participate in solution-design reviews by offering perspectives that help establish architectural direction
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure releases meet expected quality levels and delivery commitments
• Conduct peer code reviews and recommend changes that strengthen readability, maintainability, and reliability
• Troubleshoot complex defects throughout the software lifecycle and implement sustainable resolutions
• Coach developing engineers by providing practical support and helping them gain confidence in their technical work
• Contribute to planning activities through effort estimation, scope analysis, and identification of delivery considerations
• Stay informed about relevant industry changes and adopt techniques that bring practical improvements to the team
• Document important design rationale, workflows, and engineering decisions to support future maintenance
• Engage business partners to clarify priorities and ensure delivered functionality reflects agreed needs

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a relevant software development position
• Applied awareness of artificial intelligence principles and technologies that support stronger engineering practices
• Deep understanding of Java Core features and object-oriented programming techniques
• Demonstrated background using Java 8 features to develop real-world applications
• Experience building server-side applications and services with Spring Boot
• Practical exposure to cloud resources and application operations within Microsoft Azure
• Working familiarity with Amazon Web Services for cloud deployment and infrastructure administration
• Knowledge of automated build and release methods enabled through CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to use SQL for relational database querying and data management activities
• Experience designing independently deployable services using a microservices-based approach
• Hands-on experience creating REST APIs and connecting applications through REST integrations
• Proficiency in unit testing to ensure reliable functionality and maintainable implementations
• Exposure to Java-compatible NoSQL platforms and their use in application environments
• Clear written and verbal English communication at B2 level or higher
