Senior Java Developer

We are looking for aSenior Java Developer to join our team and support our chapters and pods in taking our platform to the cloud. We are a team of dedicated professionals, aiming to build out our next-generation platform to solve complex enterprise-wide problems, with the cloud data store serving as a key enabler in our cloud journey. You will contribute to a large, global post-trading system that will be transformed into microservices hosted in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a large-scale, global post-trading system with direct business impact
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize data persistence layers leveraging Hibernate and a large Oracle Database
• Contribute to the transformation of the existing system into cloud-hosted microservices
• Integrate messaging and event-driven components using Kafka
• Collaborate with chapters and pods to deliver next-generation platform capabilities
• Ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of a business-critical application
• Participate in architectural discussions to shape the new infrastructure within the domain
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience
• Substantial knowledge of Java (versions 8–21) and Spring Boot
• Expertise in Hibernate and SQL
• Background in working with large Oracle databases
• Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architectures
• Working knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud transformation initiatives
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

• Skills in BDD frameworks
• Proficiency in Git
