Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Plan out and build lasting, scalable technical architectures that align with company goals and engineering expectations
• Weigh in on architecture-focused conversations, contributing perspectives that guide how projects take shape
• Work in tandem with teams from different specialties to keep outputs timely and consistent with quality requirements
• Evaluate code submitted by peers, delivering useful feedback that reinforces dependable engineering practices
• Work through complicated technical hurdles that pop up at different stages of the build process
• Help onboard and develop junior staff by sharing expertise that builds their skills and confidence over time
• Join in on planning efforts, assisting with scope definition and realistic project timeline forecasting
• Keep watch on changes happening across the tech landscape and apply fresh, useful techniques to routine work
• Keep organized records of major technical calls and methods to preserve the codebase's long-term health
• Work in partnership with business stakeholders to nail down requirements and ensure results meet what was promised

Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on, applicable experience in a similar technical function
• Practical familiarity with AI-based tools and theories, used to sharpen how solutions get designed
• Well-rounded knowledge of Java Core basics together with object-oriented programming skills
• Track record of putting Java 8 capabilities to use in live project settings
• Ability to apply Spring Boot toward developing and supporting backend system pieces
• Prior exposure to cloud infrastructure built around the Microsoft Azure platform
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services for handling and rolling out cloud-based deployments
• Familiarity with CI/CD basics that promote steady, automated software release practices
• Able to apply SQL for arranging and accessing data housed in relational databases
• Demonstrated ability to construct systems using Microservice Architecture concepts
• Real-world experience building and linking up with REST API technology
• Solid grasp of Unit Testing methodologies to uphold reliable and steady code performance
• Working understanding of NoSQL database options suited for Java-based projects
• Capable English language skills at a B2 proficiency level or above
