Senior Java Developer

Our engineering department is seeking a Senior Java Developer who combines backend development strength with a solid understanding of AI. Responsibilities

• Create robust software applications that balance operational requirements with sound engineering principles
• Help shape technical roadmaps by actively contributing to architecture and system-design discussions
• Coordinate with teams across product and technology functions to achieve timely, high-standard delivery
• Examine code contributions from colleagues and share constructive suggestions that uphold development best practices
• Analyze challenging technical situations and resolve them through structured investigation and targeted improvements
• Assist newer team members by transferring knowledge and supporting their professional growth
• Take part in project preparation by defining work boundaries and providing informed delivery estimates
• Monitor technology innovation and incorporate useful approaches into established development routines
• Capture system processes and significant engineering decisions in documentation that supports codebase longevity
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their goals and confirm that solutions meet intended expectations

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant practical experience in professional software engineering
• Understanding of AI methods and tools that can be applied to improve software solution design and delivery
• Advanced knowledge of fundamental Java concepts and object-oriented development practices
• Practical experience implementing applications with Java 8 language features
• Capability to use Spring Boot for the delivery and ongoing support of backend platforms
• Experience working with applications or infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with AWS capabilities for managing and deploying cloud-based services
• Working knowledge of continuous integration and delivery practices for streamlined release automation
• Competence in writing SQL queries and working with relational database structures
• Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems based on microservice architecture principles
• Experience building REST-based endpoints and consuming external REST services
• Ability to apply unit-test coverage to verify behavior and sustain dependable code
• Working knowledge of NoSQL data stores compatible with Java technology stacks
• Professional English skills at B2 level or above for effective team collaboration
