Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, scalable software products that balance functional goals with sound engineering practices
• Provide input during solution-design discussions and help establish the architectural path for active projects
• Work closely with specialists from multiple disciplines to release high-standard products on schedule
• Review pull requests from other developers and suggest improvements that strengthen code reliability
• Investigate challenging technical defects and resolve them through careful analysis and targeted fixes
• Help junior team members progress by sharing expertise and offering ongoing development support
• Join project-planning sessions to assess work complexity, define boundaries, and estimate delivery effort
• Track technology trends and adopt new methods that can improve the team’s effectiveness
• Document system designs, technical processes, and implementation decisions to preserve long-term codebase knowledge
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and verify that development outcomes reflect agreed priorities

Requirements

• Three or more years of relevant experience in a commercial software engineering environment
• Applied familiarity with AI tools and approaches for improving application development and technical problem-solving
• Advanced knowledge of core Java programming concepts and object-oriented design
• Practical experience using Java 8 to create and support software solutions
• Strong Spring Boot skills for implementing backend applications and services
• Experience delivering applications in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment
• Familiarity with AWS services used to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of automated build and deployment practices through CI/CD workflows
• Ability to use SQL effectively for relational database access and data management
• Experience applying microservices principles when designing distributed application ecosystems
• Hands-on skills in designing, implementing, and integrating REST-based services
• Experience using unit tests to maintain code quality and validate functionality
• Working awareness of NoSQL databases used with Java technology stacks
• English skills at B2 level or higher for effective professional collaboration
