We are seeking aSenior Java Developer in Shenzhen, Chengdu or Guangzhou. You will design and build back-end services using Java and the Spring ecosystem, owning features from design through delivery and support. You will integrate REST APIs, work with relational databases, improve performance and reliability and collaborate with engineers and QA to ship maintainable software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test and maintain back-end services using Java and the Spring ecosystem
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into solution designs and implementation plans
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and data-access layers using relational databases and SQL
  • Write maintainable code, create unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews
  • Debug defects and production issues, delivering root-cause fixes and follow-up improvements
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, QA and engineering teams to deliver features smoothly
  • Improve performance, reliability, security and maintainability through continuous refactoring and tuning
  • Estimate work, communicate progress, risks and dependencies and support team knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building production software with Java
  • Experience with Spring-based development including Spring Boot and related modules
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures and core software engineering principles
  • Experience designing REST APIs and working with relational databases and SQL
  • Testing capability including automated unit and integration tests plus debugging practices
  • Version control proficiency and team workflows using Git and code review
  • Agile delivery understanding and collaboration across engineering and QA roles
  • Ownership and communication skills to drive tasks, make sound decisions and align stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms or messaging tools such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
