Senior Java Developer

Our expanding technology group is seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong applied knowledge of artificial intelligence. Responsibilities

• Build high-performing applications that balance operational priorities with sound technical design
• Provide technical input in system-planning conversations to help establish the architectural approach for active initiatives
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve timely completion of reliable product deliverables
• Review teammates’ implementations and recommend improvements that uphold code quality and engineering conventions
• Analyze difficult development challenges and drive corrective work through to resolution
• Share expertise with junior engineers to strengthen their confidence and practical development capabilities
• Join project-planning activities to help define work scope and estimate the time required for delivery
• Keep informed about relevant industry advances and integrate valuable approaches into established team practices
• Maintain accessible documentation of technical processes and design choices to simplify future support work
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify objectives and verify that completed work aligns with their expectations

Requirements

• Three or more years of hands-on experience in a relevant technology-focused position
• Applied familiarity with artificial intelligence principles and platforms used to enhance solution development
• Thorough understanding of Java Core and object-oriented programming methodology
• Proven background developing software with Java 8 functionality
• Strong Spring Boot capability for implementing and sustaining backend application components
• Experience working in a Microsoft Azure cloud-based setting
• Familiarity with AWS tools for deploying and managing hosted technology solutions
• Working knowledge of CI/CD methods that enable repeatable and automated delivery processes
• Competence in using SQL to access, organize, and retrieve relational database information
• Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems around microservices concepts
• Hands-on ability to build REST APIs and connect applications through REST integrations
• Proficiency in unit testing approaches that protect software quality and dependable behavior
• Knowledge of NoSQL database options suitable for Java applications
• Professional English communication skills at B2 level or higher
