Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedSenior Java Cloud Engineer to join our enterprise core platform team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy robust, high-performance, and scalable Java/Spring Boot applications natively on AWS. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define application architecture, build resilient microservices, and optimize cloud-native systems handling massive data and transaction volumes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and robust backend microservices usingJava (17/21) andSpring Boot 3.x.
  • Cloud Architecture: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure onAWS, leveraging services such asEKS (Kubernetes), EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB.
  • API & Integration: Build flexible, modern APIs utilizing bothRESTful standards andGraphQL to ensure optimized, high-throughput data delivery.
  • Event-Driven Systems: Design and implement asynchronous, decoupled inter-service communication workflows usingApache Kafka.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Build, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline) to ensure seamless zero-downtime deployments.
  • Performance Optimization: Benchmark system performance under simulated loads using tools likeJMeter, identifying and eliminating architectural bottlenecks.
  • System Migration & Modernization: Lead legacy modernization efforts, including upgrading frameworks, refactoring monolithic applications, and optimizing the database layer viaHibernate JPA.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in architectural reviews, Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and thorough code reviews to foster engineering excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience:5+ years of professional experience in Java-based enterprise application development (Hands-on experience withJava 17 or higher preferred).
  • Frameworks: Deep expertise inSpring Boot (3.x), Spring Cloud (Service Registry/Discovery, Resilience Gateways), andHibernate/JPA.
  • AWS Cloud: Strong experience provisioning and managing AWS cloud services, specifically container-orchestrated platforms (EKS/Docker).
  • Messaging & Streaming: Proven experience building event-driven architectures withApache Kafka.
  • Databases: Solid proficiency in relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB) and writing optimized SQL queries.
  • CI/CD & Tools: Proficient with Git/Bitbucket and automated pipeline management tools likeJenkins.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.
