Senior Java Backend Engineer (m/f)

ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is looking for aSenior Java Backend Engineer to join one of our client teams in Luxembourg within aEuropean institutional environment.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications and web portals usingSpring Boot. You will work closely with technical and functional teams to deliver reliable backend solutions deployed across on-premises and cloud environments.

THE WORK:

• Develop, maintain, test, and deployJava and Spring Boot applications, web portals, components, and libraries.

• Design and implement backend services and integrations using REST and SOAP web services.

• Collaborate with team leads, technical leads, business analysts, developers, and testers to understand requirements and ensure consistency across solutions.

• Contribute to automated testing and continuous integration and deployment processes.

• Deploy and monitor applications inon-premises and cloud-based containerized environments.

Onsite at client site: This role requires an onsite presence with our clients and partners to support project delivery and strengthen collaboration.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Strong experience inJava 17, preferably Java 21 or higher.

• Solid knowledge ofSpring Framework 6.x and Spring Boot 3.x, or higher versions.

• Experience withJPA / Hibernate.

• Knowledge ofREST and SOAP web services and asynchronous communication usingKafka.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such asJUnit or TestNG, and mocking frameworks such asMockito.

• Experience withMaven, Git, CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps), andDocker.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferablyMicrosoft Azure.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization usingOIDC / OAuth.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and functional teams.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience infull-stack web development using a JavaScript framework, preferablyReact.
