Job description:
The Senior Infrastructure Program Director leads the end-to-end delivery and recovery of complex, like-for-like infrastructure separation, divestiture, carve-out, and M&A integration programs. The role is accountable for turning multiple tower-level plans into one executable program, with a credible critical path, measurable milestones, clear ownership, disciplined governance, controlled scope and financials, and evidence-based reporting. This leader must combine strong infrastructure knowledge, hands-on program control, commercial judgment, and executive presence. The role requires someone who can operate effectively in a high-pressure environment, challenge incomplete plans, resolve cross-stream dependencies, drive timely decisions, and translate technical activity into business outcomes without compromising operational continuity.
ย
Basic Qualifications:
- 15 years of progressive technology delivery experience, including senior accountability for large, complex, multi-tower infrastructure programs.
- Hands-on leadership of at least one corporate divestiture, carve-out, separation, or M&A integration involving significant infrastructure transition and operational continuity risk.
- Demonstrated success leading or recovering programs with executive escalation, unclear ownership, interdependent workstreams, compressed timelines, and significant customer scrutiny.
- Strong experience building integrated plans and critical paths across infrastructure towers and site migrations, including discovery, design, build, testing, readiness, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.
- Working knowledge of hosting and cloud, networks, IAM, SSO, endpoint, cybersecurity, M365 and collaboration, data center, backup and recovery, monitoring, ITSM, CMDB, Service Desk, and SIAM.
- Proven experience with SOW development and interpretation, deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria, change control, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and resource optimization.
- Ability to connect technical dependencies to customer impact, business continuity, schedule, cost, contractual exposure, and executive decisions.
- Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issues, state uncomfortable facts constructively, and present clear options and recommendations.
- Experience engaging CIO-1 leaders, steering committees, architects, delivery executives, customer leaders, vendors, and third-party advisors.
- Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Manufacturing, global site migration, or large-scale workplace transformation experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree or relevant program certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel periodically to customer and delivery locations based on program needs, including critical workshops, readiness reviews, and cutovers.
- End-to-end program ownership: Own overall delivery across multiple infrastructure workstreams, including the integrated plan, critical path, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, resources, financials, contractual commitments, and customer outcomes.
- Integrated planning and dependency management: Create and maintain a single, baselined plan across various infrastructure activities.
- Program recovery and stabilization: Assess delivery health, identify root causes and control gaps, establish corrective actions, and drive measurable get-to-green plans for at-risk milestones and workstreams.
- Site migration orchestration: Lead site migration readiness from discovery and design through build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.
- Milestone discipline and evidence: Define clear deliverables, accountable owners, target dates, entry and exit criteria, acceptance criteria, and objective evidence of completion.
- Technical integration and quality: Provide sufficient technical leadership to challenge designs, plans, assumptions, sequencing, and readiness.
- Governance and accountability: Establish a practical operating model with clear roles, decision rights, forums, escalation paths, RAID management, action tracking, and a single source of truth.
- Scope and change control: Maintain disciplined control of SOW commitments, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and changes.
- Financial and resource management: Own budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, milestone economics, vendor spend, and cost-to-complete.
- Leadership and staffing: Assess whether the program has the right leaders, SMEs, architects, project managers, and local support.
- Risk, issue, and escalation management: Surface schedule, technical, readiness, resource, vendor, security, operational, and commercial risks early.
- Executive and client communication: Provide concise, candid, decision-oriented reporting.
- Client confidence and onsite leadership: Anticipate stakeholder concerns, set realistic expectations, resolve critical issues with urgency, and provide visible leadership.
- Transition to operations: Ensure delivery outputs are operationally supportable, documented, accepted, and transitioned with clear support ownership.
