The Senior HR Shared Services Representative serves as first point of contact for employee assistance and information. Obtains and provides requested information or takes appropriate action to resolve, refer, or escalate issues in accordance with company and HR policies and procedures. This function works closely with the field HR teams, employees and management. This position also supports the department in the administration of assigned transactional work.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Shared Services team, completes assignments in areas such as: Onboarding, Off-boarding, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Reporting, Audits and Compliance.Â
- Handles all aspects of pre-employment onboarding, including background check and drug screening process; I-9 completion; new hire paperwork; and communications with candidate, management and HR partner.Â
- Conducts new employee orientation in-person or via TEAMS.Â
- Professionally and accurately responds to written and oral inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, problems, and status changes. This will include telephone, chat, e-mail and drop-in face-to-face interactions.Â
- Completes termination documents and conducts exit interviews.Â
- Runs reports and sends to business partners; may need to analyze data and use Excel to create v-lookups, pivot tables or graphs.Â
- Data entry into HR system for all employee-related changes, including performing mass uploads and data audits.Â
- Interfaces with Corporate Human Resources, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and IT departments to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems.Â
- Quickly and accurately resolves cases in professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.Â
- Serves as a first-line resource for other members of the HR Shared Services team.Â
- Escalates complex cases to the HR Shared Service Manager or field HR resources.Â
- Updates team SOPs and works to identify process improvement opportunities.Â
- Assist with other HR Shared Service Center projects, as neededÂ
- Maintains high degree of confidentiality.Â
- Performs other duties as requested.Â
- Serves as backup to other HR Shared Services team members when they are out of officeÂ
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Finance
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience
- Experience with HR systems and reporting
- Requires knowledge of various areas of human resources including onboarding, benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, and company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals
- Strives for continuous process improvement and ability to make recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data quality
- Office Environment; 4 days in office, 1 day remote
