We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!

As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.

About Us

We design and manufacture on-street parking pay stations and public transport ticketing machines, deployed in both fixed and vehicle-embedded environments.

Our products bring together hardware, mechanical, and electronics engineering to deliver reliable solutions for demanding real-world conditions. Our electronics team designs and develops a wide range of internal boards — including main boards, modems, coin systems, card readers, printer interfaces, and audio systems — while integrating displays, contactless payment devices, cash collection systems, alarms, solar panels, and mechatronic components.

Every product is engineered to meet strict regulatory, EMC, environmental, and cost requirements, combining technical performance with reliability and long-term durability.

The Role

As aSeniorHardware Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of the electronic systems at the heart of our products.

You will own the hardware development lifecycle end to end, from initial requirements and schematic design through testing, validation, certification, and production handover. Working closely with firmware, mechanical, and software teams, you will help turn product requirements into robust, reliable, and cost-effective electronic solutions.

You may also act as the technical interface with external development partners, defining specifications for outsourced board development and reviewing deliverables to ensure they meet our technical and quality standards.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on electronics design with system integration, problem-solving, and technical collaboration across a diverse range of embedded products.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Specification

  • Define hardware architectures and select components for new electronic boards, including power management, microcontroller subsystems, communication interfaces, display drivers, and peripheral integration.

  • Write detailed electronic specifications for boards developed by external partners, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

  • Design schematics for main boards and internal peripheral boards, including modem, coin system, card reader, printer interface, audio, and alarm systems.

  • Select components and validate the Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Specify and integrate 32- to 64-bit microcontrollers, including clock trees, power domains, and peripheral mapping.

  • Design analog and mixed-signal circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and measurement chains.

  • Integrate connectivity solutions such as Ethernet, 4G/LTE, and USB.

  • Integrate contactless reader modules for RFID tickets and smart cards.

  • Integrate pre-built display modules, including capacitive touchscreens and different display protocols and interfaces.

  • Design and maintain solar MPPT power management circuits for autonomous, field-deployed equipment.

  • Maintain and evolve electronic schematics using Altium Designer.

Validation & Testing

  • Define and execute electronic hardware unit and functional tests.

  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in the lab and, when needed, in the field.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to sound engineering decisions.

  • Promote best practices in analog and digital design, low-power strategies, and component cost optimization.

  • Support root-cause analysis of hardware failures during integration and in the field.

  • Maintain and improve design guidelines, reusable IP blocks, and component libraries.

  • Write and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across mechanics, firmware, software, and project management.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in electronic hardware development, ideally in embedded systems with low-power constraints.

Tools

  • Altium Designer — mandatory: schematic capture and component library management.

  • PCB routing experience is a plus.

Microcontrollers & Digital Electronics

  • Experience with the STM32 family or equivalent ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, including clock trees, power domains, peripheral configuration, and hardware bring-up.

  • Knowledge of digital interfaces, including SPI, I²C, UART, and USB Full-Speed/High-Speed.

  • Experience with display interfaces such as LVDS and integration of pre-built display modules, including connector interfacing, power sequencing, and signal integrity.

  • Basic FPGA knowledge at schematic-integration level for future product development.

  • Python and C programming skills.

Connectivity

  • Experience with USB bus integration.

  • Knowledge of serial communication protocols, including RS-232 and RS-485.

  • Experience with Ethernet PHY integration (MII/RMII) and magnetics selection.

  • Experience integrating 4G/LTE modems, with an understanding of antenna design guidelines and RF coexistence requirements.

Analog Electronics & Power Management

  • Experience designing power supplies, including buck, boost, LDO, and battery charger circuits.

  • Experience with solar MPPT circuit design, including charge controller ICs and discrete implementations.

  • Knowledge of analog signal chains, including op-amp stages, ADC front ends, and filtering.

  • Understanding of low-power design techniques for battery-backed and solar-powered applications.

Communication & Working Style

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken, for technical documentation, specifications, and communication with international partners and suppliers.

  • Ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and design review reports.

  • An autonomous and rigorous approach, with the ability to take ownership of hardware designs from concept to production.

  • Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborating with teams across mechanics, firmware, software, and project management.
