Position
In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek for a Business analyst/Functional tester to join our Cash Management IT department in charge of the development and maintenance of the International Cash Management System. This information system is deployed in 25 business units all around the world.
The candidate will be in charge of understanding the requirements and to test the payment system of the bank which is Global Pay Plus – Service Platform (GPP-SP) from Finastra (previously D&H). The role will focus primarily on testing the various evolutions of the in-house solution together with the payment engine (GPP-SP).
Main responsibilities
As a Functional Tester:
- Handle the core banking system's and payment system's various test phases : regression tests, integration tests, functional tests, test automation
- Good Knowledge and working experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
- Define functional test scenarios for core banking and payment systems
- Overall responsible for ensuring User acceptance testing for all the streams
- Maintain up to date test libraries (test scenarios, test cases)
- Working with SIT & UAT Testing Team, reviewing, testing scenarios, test cases and helping developers and testers in clearing their doubts about the requirements etc
- Recording defects utilizing defect tracking tool with priority and severity and alert the management
- Manage planning, communicate with stakeholders
- Prepare regular reports on test results
- Supporting the business users for User Acceptance Testing
- Supporting Operations team / Business Users team to complete the testing
- Managing testing at times when required and found the issues / testing not closing or moving as expected
- Lead Defect Management related actives
Additional qualifications in the following areas are a plus:
- Project Management experience.
- Techno-functional experience, having relevant experience in Software Development / Engineering in the past.
- Certifications: PMP, agile ACP or CSM, CBAP or equivalent.
Qualifications and Profile
The position requires minimum of 8 years of relevant business analyst/tester experience with Cash Management & Payment systems and Core Banking applications and atleast3 years experience onGlobal Pay Plus – Service Platform (GPP-SP) from Finastra
Education Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
Primary skills
Functional
- Good knowledge in Payment area like interaction with Clearing, payment file format ISO20022, SEPA and SWIFT. Hands-on experience with such data mapping and testing
- Hands on experience on payment systems and exposure to Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated clearing house programs and channels
- Extensive knowledge on various kinds of payment products such as TT, RTGS, LVP, Payroll, Cheque, DD, Cashier Order, Mass & Bulk payments
- Advanced communication skills: ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, present findings, and write functional/technical documentation
- Testing organization and execution:Proficiency in designing, executing test cases, both manually, and using automated tools, to verify that the software behaves as expected by users
- Proficient in various testing phases:User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Functional & System Integration testing of banking and financial applications
- Experience in following areas is a plus: Retail Banking, Wholesale & Corporate Banking, Corporate commercial Payments, International & Domestic Payments, Payment Hub/Factory, Correspondent Banking, ACH, Real Time Payments, Cash & Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, Messaging (Swift and ISO) & Trade Finance
- Working knowledge of ALM/QC/JIRA
Secondary skills
- Project Management: Fundamental knowledge of Project Management practices is a plus
- Regulatory Knowledge:Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking and finance industries is a plus
- Agile methodologies: understanding of agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban and related project management tools (JIRA).
- Behavior Driven Development (BDD):Hands-on experience of frameworks and practices, with experience using Cucumber/Gherkin, and X-ray tools.
- Parameter-driven applications:familiarity with enterprise systems like Finastra GPP using message injection such as XML.
- Critical and analytical thinking: capability to analyze complex business problems, prioritize requirements, and propose innovative solutions.
- System analysis: proficiency for documenting system requirements and workflows, familiarity with documentation system (e.g. confluence, UML…).
