Senior Full Stack Engineer

About The Job:

• Experience: 9 to 12 years
• The Senior Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications across Deutsche Bank's technology landscape.
• The role combines strong backend development expertise in Python, modern Angular front-end engineering, and DevOps automation capabilities to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
• The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and global engineering teams to build and maintain strategic applications while adhering to Deutsche Bank engineering standards, SDLC practices, and DevOps principles.

Education

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other STEM-related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise application development.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of Angular development experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of DevOps and CI/CD implementation experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications through multiple complete SDLC lifecycles.
• Experience working with global delivery teams in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments is advantageous.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Python and Angular.
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and backend services using Flask, Django, or FastAPI frameworks.
• Build responsive, modern, and reusable front-end applications using Angular.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and related DevOps tooling.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions are resilient, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Support production deployments and resolve performance, security, and operational issues.
• Drive automation initiatives across development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Platform Engineering teams to deploy and manage cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Technical Skills

Python Development

• 5+ years of experience developing applications using Python.
• Strong experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI frameworks.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and API integrations.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and SSO solutions.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated test frameworks.

Angular Front-End Development

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular.
• Strong expertise in Angular 13+ (preferably Angular 17+).
• Experience with TypeScript, RxJS, Reactive Forms, Signals, and Angular Material.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript ES6+.
• Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA).
• Knowledge of Micro Frontend architecture and reusable component frameworks.
• Experience integrating Angular applications with REST APIs.
• Understanding of UI performance optimization and accessibility standards.

DevOps & CI/CD

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with TeamCity CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of build and deployment automation.
• Experience with Git, source control management, and branching strategies.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Experience with automated code quality tools (SonarQube, SAST, DAST).
• Experience managing release pipelines across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Experience supporting DevSecOps practices.

Database & Middleware Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Excellent SQL querying skills including joins, indexing, triggers, views, and stored procedures.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy.
• Experience working with message queues, event-driven architecture, or streaming platforms is desirable.

Cloud & Containerization

• Experience deploying applications to OpenShift, GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with container orchestration and cloud-native architectures.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience in financial services or banking technology environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
