Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Remediation Developer to support enterprise-wide application security initiatives across VTS engineering teams. The individual will work closely with development, architecture, and security teams to analyze security vulnerabilities, implement remediation solutions, and improve the security posture of Java/Spring Boot and Angular applications. This role is primarily hands-on and focused on secure application development and vulnerability remediation.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through tools such as ArmorCode, Contrast, Snyk, SonarQube, and similar platforms.

Implement security fixes in Java/Spring Boot and Angular applications.

Perform code reviews and apply secure coding best practices.

Work with engineering teams to triage, prioritize, and resolve security findings.

Develop reusable remediation patterns and security frameworks to improve consistency across applications.

Support secure SDLC and DevSecOps initiatives across development teams.

Collaborate with architects, security teams, and application developers to address security risks.

Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of security remediation processes.

Provide regular updates on remediation progress and vulnerability closure status.

Required Qualifications

8-10 years of software development experience.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and Microservices.

Proven experience implementing security fixes and remediating application vulnerabilities.

Good understanding of OWASP Top 10, Secure Coding Practices, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management.

Experience with security tools such as ArmorCode, Contrast Security, Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx, or SonarQube.

Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams.
