Â
Job SummaryÂ
CADY is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, this is the forward-looking analyst seat on the FP&A team: supporting the annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles, serving as the day-to-day finance partner to assigned department leaders, and building the driver models and scenario analysis leadership relies on to make decisions. CADY is a multi-entity, high-growth business with pronounced revenue seasonality, and the FP&A function is actively being rebuilt — the person in this seat will help construct the models, templates, and reporting they then operate.
Â
The Senior Financial Analyst works alongside a peer FP&A Analyst, and partners closely with the Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting, who owns company-wide reporting package.
Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Â
Annual budgeting
- Run the mechanics of the annual budgeting process the Manager owns — prepare and distribute templates, track submissions, maintain version control, and assemble the consolidation for review.
- Assist in the building and maintenance of budget templates, models, and supporting tools, and process documentation.
- Assist Manager with walking business owners through their templates during the budgeting process; capture and document the assumptions behind each submission and escalate material judgment calls to the Manager.
- Consolidate departmental and entity-level submissions into consolidated reporting and documentation for Managers review and discussion.
Â
Forecasting
- Prepare quarterly and as-needed forecast updates — refresh actuals, collect revised business owner input, and build the bridge between forecast versions for the Manager’s review.
- Build and maintain the driver models underneath the forecast with clear and detailed documentation and process workflows
- Track key business drivers against the forecast and surface emerging trends to the Manager.
Â
Close support & variance analysis
- Prepare monthly variance analysis for assigned departments against budget and forecast, working from the actuals delivered by the Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting.
- Execute the variance process on the close calendar the Manager sets, and keep the supporting schedules current.
- Identify variance drivers in assigned areas, draft the explanation, and flag risks and opportunities to the Manager.
Â
Reporting & business owner support
- Build and maintain department-level reporting views and DOMO dashboards — budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and KPI trends — for assigned areas, to definitions agreed with the Manager.
- Be the day-to-day FP&A contact for assigned departments: walk leaders through their numbers each month and stay available to them year-round.
- Draft commentary explaining the story behind the numbers for the Manager’s review and inclusion in the leadership package.
- Provide ad hoc models, scenario and sensitivity analysis to support leadership decisions, with assumptions documented.
Â
Team contribution & process improvement
- Produce work another analyst can pick up — documented models, stated assumptions, repeatable schedules.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; share method and technique with other team members to drive innovation.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation in Sage Intacct, DOMO, and Excel, escalating systemic data issues to the Senior Financial Systems Analyst.
Â
Job RequirementsÂ
Â
Qualifications/Skill RequirementsÂ
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related finance role.
- Hands-on experience supporting a full annual budget cycle and recurring forecast updates.
- Demonstrated financial modeling ability — driver-based models, scenario and sensitivity analysis — with clearly documented assumptions.
- Strong variance analysis skills, with the ability to explain what drove a number in plain language to a non-finance audience.
- Advanced Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, and comfort building a model someone else will rely on.
- Experience with an ERP and a business intelligence tool; Sage Intacct and DOMO, or comparable platforms.
- Experience in a multi-entity organization, or in a business with pronounced revenue seasonality, is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to partner directly with department leaders outside Finance.
- Experience with PowerPoint and building leadership-ready materials.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with the self-direction to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where processes are still being built.
Â
Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentÂ
Â
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment regularly.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach within an office environment.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 15 lbs., such as files, office supplies, or equipment.
- Comfortable working in a standard indoor office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
