Join Us as a Senior Financial Analyst at Potter Global Technologies

At Potter Global Technologies, we’ve been protecting lives around the world for over 125 years—and we’re just getting started. We’re a global leader in life safety solutions, committed to saving lives through innovative technology and trusted partnerships.

Our vision is for our customers to know us globally as their innovative, easy-to-do-business-with, best-in-class life-safety product partner. And our mission? With a passion for creating safer environments worldwide, our mission is to provide our customers with a team of real people that connect them with reliable expertise in life safety applications.

If you're inspired by purpose, energized by collaboration, and thrive in an environment of feedback, ownership, and experimentation—you’ll feel at home here.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance, you will be the analytical engine behind the growth of our Fire Safety business. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and partnering daily with division sales leadership, key account and channel leads, and our field sales team, you will deliver the commercial insight our sales organization uses to find and act on opportunity.

Our Fire Safety business is in a period of sustained growth, and the demands on our commercial analysis have grown with it. This role exists to take the next step, advancing from reporting that describes what has happened to analysis that shapes where we go next. You will build our commercial analytics toolbox: territory and project funnel performance, distributor and channel dynamics, customer segmentation, pricing and margin analysis, and market share and whitespace assessment. Just as importantly, you will design and automate the processes behind that work, keeping routine production lean so the majority of your time goes to new analysis rather than maintenance.

This is a highly visible position with strong sponsorship from division leadership, and it offers an unusually complete view of a growing business. Apply now and help turn insight into growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver actionable commercial analysis to our sales organization, including territory and project funnel performance, distributor and channel dynamics, and customer and product trends
  • Develop new analysis that shapes strategic direction, such as customer segmentation with defined growth expectations, market share and whitespace assessment, territory product mix, and specification penetration
  • Analyze price, volume, mix, customer, product, and channel dynamics to explain performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Evaluate discount structures, price tier compliance, and gross margin trends by product, geography, and channel to support pricing and commercial strategy
  • Design and automate reporting processes so that routine production stays lean and the majority of your time goes to new analysis
  • Advance our recurring sales reporting in Tableau, evolving it from data extraction toward analytical views that support decisions directly
  • Define and maintain consistent commercial metrics and KPI definitions so that the division works from a common set of numbers
  • Build and maintain analysis that spans Salesforce and our financial systems, ensuring outputs reconcile to authoritative sources
  • Partner with our Business Intelligence and Salesforce teams to deploy analysis into production and to shape data structure and system capabilities
  • Work directly with sales representatives and leaders to understand how they use information, and design analysis around that reality
  • Train and support the field on available reporting, staying close enough to the organization to know what is actually being used
  • Evaluate sales incentives, rebates, promotions, and other commercial programs against both financial return and the behavior they were designed to drive
  • Contribute orders and funnel-based analysis as an input to the divisional forecast, and supporting analysis for monthly divisional and executive business reviews
  • Build business cases and scenario models for commercial investments and strategic initiatives
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestones
