A British multinational alcoholic beverage company, with its headquarters in London, England. It operates from 132 sites around the world. It is a major distributor of Scotch whisky and other spirits. Distilleries owned by Client produce 40% of all Scotch whisky with over 24 brands.

About The Job:

  • This role focuses on Plant/Unit HR, Employee Relations, and Labour Compliance, with responsibilities covering payroll, contract labour management, statutory compliance, shop-floor HR operations, and administrative support activities.
  • Work Timings: General Shift (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST)
  • Filing billing records, contracts, and HR-related documentation.
  • Handling invoice processing and physical bill verification.
  • Performing mandate calculations and MIS tracking using MS Excel.
  • Supporting administrative and documentation activities related to finance and operations.

Essential Job Functions:
Industrial & Employee Relations

  • Maintain cordial relations with workmen and union representatives.
  • Participate in union meetings, grievance handling, and shop-floor interactions.
  • Resolve employee concerns and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with settlements, notices, and disciplinary actions as applicable.

Payroll & Compliance Management

  • Support end-to-end payroll processing for workmen and contract workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, and returns.
  • Coordinate with contractors for monthly compliance documentation and audits.

Contract Labour & Statutory Compliance

  • Monitor contract labour deployment, attendance, and statutory documentation.
  • Conduct contractor compliance checks and support audits.
  • Coordinate during government inspections and support closure of compliance observations.

Administration & HR Operations

  • Support canteen, transport, housekeeping, uniforms, and statutory notices management.
  • Support Client planning, time office, and attendance management activities.
  • Prepare and maintain HR MIS, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Manage HR documentation, employee records, and operational compliance reports.
  • Support billing administration, invoice processing, and contract documentation management.

Qualifications:
Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and factory compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with unions, contractors, and workforce.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance activities.
  • Experience managing contract labour compliance and workforce administration.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and resilient approach to shop-floor HR challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience creating MIS reports, dashboards, trackers, and compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of billing processes, invoicing, contract filing, and Excel-based calculations.

Education & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources.
  • MSW or equivalent qualification.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Plant HR, Employee Relations, Labour Compliance, or related HR Operations roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environments is preferred.
  • Preferred exposure to unionized workforce management and contract labour administration.
