About The Job:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Storage and Backup to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise storage and backup solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Pure Storage, Veeam, and Commvault, and will play a key role in ensuring data availability, integrity, and recoverability across the organization.
Storage Management (Pure Storage):
- Design, deploy, and manage Pure Storage arrays (FlashArray, FlashBlade).
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and health using Pure1 and other tools.
- Perform firmware upgrades, zoning, and LUN provisioning.
- Collaborate with application and virtualization teams to optimize storage usage.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of storage systems.
- Administer and maintain enterprise backup solutions using Veeam and Commvault.
- Design and implement backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies.
- Perform regular backup testing, restore drills, and compliance reporting.
- Troubleshoot backup failures and optimize backup performance.
- Ensure data protection across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation for storage and backup infrastructure.
- Participate in capacity planning, audits, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to meet SLAs and RTO/RPO objectives.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
- Hands-on experience with Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade).
- Strong expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery.
- Solid understanding of SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI protocols.
- Experience with VMware, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Pure Storage certifications (e.g., Pure Storage Certified Architect).
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
- Commvault Certified Professional or Engineer.
- Experience with cloud-based backup and storage integration (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
