Senior Engineer - Product and Platform Engineering

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to learn about our customers biggest challenges. 

• Measure, inspect, and drive decisions using data. 

• Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions. 

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. 

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform. 

• Strengthen and drive our engineering process with TDD and BDD, Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures. 

• Support live applications, promote proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement. 

• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements. 

• Mentor and learn from your peers, foster continuous learning within your team and organization. 

• Lead initiatives for your team by using your wide-ranging experience and deep technical knowledge to make decisions on method and approach to solving issues. 

• Hold your team accountable for delivering quality results using defined OKRs. 

• Interact with Senior Managers to discuss plans, results, and advise on complex matters. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 
• OR demonstrable equivalent experience. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• Passionate about keeping up with modern technologies and design. 

Technology Must Haves: 

• C# & Dotnet core 

• Microservices

• Azure pipeline 

• Modern RDBMS (i.e. MS SQL, Postgres),No SQL   

• ASP.NET RESTful API design 

• Kafka / event-driven design

• Advanced proficiency in C# with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience in building, testing, and deploying applications using the .NET framework.
• Extensive knowledge of ASP.NET and MVC architecture for designing user-friendly and performant web applications.
• Experience with SQL databases for managing data and optimizing query performance.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in application development.
• Well-versed in cloud-based solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools related to CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate and Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer.

• Strengthen engineering processes through Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), employing Microservices and Vertical Slice architectures.
• Provide support for live applications, promoting proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Lead technical initiatives by applying extensive experience and knowledge to address complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure accountability within the team for delivering quality results in alignment with defined Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Engage with senior management to discuss plans, outcomes, and provide insights on intricate matters affecting product and platform engineering.
