Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid - 3 Days WFO)
Experience: 5-7 years
CTC : 26.5 LPA
Notice period : Immediate to 30 Days Max
Tech Stack: AWS, Cloud DevOps, Cloud Engineering (Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, Kubernetes/EKS/OpenShift, Observability), AI-Assisted DevOps
Role Overview :
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the AWS cloud infrastructure that powers our health plan technology platform. This role blends hands-on cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, CI/CD ownership, and production reliability, with a strong expectation of AI-assisted engineering practice. You will be based in Hyderabad in a hybrid, full-time role, working closely with Architects, software engineering teams, and security to keep the platform scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure for production-grade, distributed systems, using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
• Support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline) to enable fast, reliable, and safe software delivery
• Build, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes-based platforms, including AWS EKS and Red Hat OpenShift
• Implement and maintain observability across the platform: Monitoring, Logging, Tracing, and Alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar)
• Automate operational tasks such as provisioning, patching, scaling, backup/DR, and cost optimization using scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, Go)
• Own cloud security and compliance posture: IAM policies, network security (VPC, security groups, WAF), secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for production issues, driving lasting reliability improvements
• Partner with software engineering, architecture, and security teams to embed DevOps and SRE best practices across delivery teams
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and high-availability architecture for critical systems
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with AWS across compute, storage, networking, and security services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar)
• Hands-on experience operating containerized workloads on Kubernetes-based platforms, including AWS EKS and/or Red Hat OpenShift
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and/or Go
• Experience with observability and monitoring tooling (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar)
• Solid understanding of cloud security practices: IAM, network security, secrets management, and vulnerability management
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and client-facing collaboration
AI Knowledge & AI-Assisted Development (Required)
• Daily, practical use of AI coding/assistant tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate writing and reviewing Terraform/CloudFormation templates, CI/CD pipeline definitions, and automation scripts
• Able to critically review and validate AI-generated infrastructure code and scripts for correctness, security, and cost implications before applying them to production environments
• Practical use of AI tools to assist with log and incident analysis, runbook generation, and operational documentation
• Understanding of secure and compliant AI tool usage, including never entering credentials, secrets, PHI, member data, or other sensitive information into prompts or external AI tools
• Able to identify where AI-driven automation can improve infrastructure delivery, incident response, or operational efficiency, and champion adoption within the team
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the health insurance or payer domain, with HIPAA-aware infrastructure and data-handling practices
• Experience supporting distributed application stacks built in Go, Python, and/or Node.js
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
• Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or event-streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Experience in a consulting or managed services environment supporting multiple clients or business units
