Zolon Tech Inc. (Zolon) supports the Department of Homeland Security (Client) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) on the Digital Application Support Services (DASS) program, which operates, maintains, and enhances Client digital platforms including the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN), Web Content Management as a Service (WCMaaS), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Digital Communication Platform. Zolon is seeking aSenior Drupal Developer(Key Personnel) to serve as the senior technical expert for WCMaaS. This secure, cloud-based Drupal platform hosts Client public websites and supports Drupal development, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior technical authority for Drupal development, configuration, and maintenance across Client WCMaaS sites.
Design, develop, and maintain custom Drupal modules, plugins, themes, views, content types, taxonomies, and workflows.
Maintain and update contributed modules, including upgrading modules to newer Drupal versions, and contribute approved custom modules back to Drupal.org.
Lead Drupal core and module upgrades, patching, and infrastructure updates (Drupal 11 and Drupal 12, PHP, RHEL).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Drupal issues, including code developed by other teams and on a variety of cloud platforms.
Ensure code is optimized for Akamai delivery and caching, and follows secure coding practices in a FedRAMP-authorized AWS environment.
Develop USWDS-compliant, responsive, and Section 508/WCAG-conformant front-end themes and components.
Build and support integrations, APIs, content migrations, and data feeds between Drupal and other Client systems.
Provide Tier 2/3 support and advise the Government on Drupal operational best practices.
Mentor developers, perform code reviews, and produce technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of eight (8) years of web development experience, including at least six (6) years of hands-on Drupal development.
Proven experience maintaining modules on Drupal.org, including updating contributed modules to newer Drupal versions (e.g., Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 or later).
Extensive experience troubleshooting Drupal issues originating from other development teams and across multiple cloud platforms.
Expert proficiency in PHP, MySQL, Twig, JavaScript/jQuery, Composer, Drush, and Git.
Experience with Drupal performance tuning, caching, and CDN delivery (e.g., Akamai).
Working knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.x, and the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).

Desired Qualifications:
Acquia Certified Drupal Developer, Back End Specialist, or Grand Master certification (recommended by Client).
Experience with AWS GovCloud, Red Hat Linux, and Apache.
Prior federal Drupal platform experience, ideally at Client.

Location: Remote/telework, subject to Government approval. Primary Government work location is Client, Springfield, VA.
Schedule: Core hours 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday; must be reachable by the Government 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET and respond to technical issues within 2 hours.
Clearance: Client Public Trust (suitability/Entry on Duty); U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Client Public Trust suitability determination.
