This is a hybrid position; however, it is required that successful candidate and report on-site on a regular basis and as-needed .

Position Overview
Crown Point Technologies is seeking aDevSecOps Engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical software capabilities for a U.S. Department of War customer.
The engineer will work closely with software developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and infrastructure teams to build and maintain secure, automated development and deployment environments. This role will focus on improving the reliability, repeatability, security, and speed of software delivery through modernDevSecOps, containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring practices.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across development and operations boundaries and has hands-on experience supporting software delivery within secure or classified environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintainsecure CI/CD pipelines supporting software development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Automate software builds, testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployment processes.
- Build, configure, and maintaincontainerized application environments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain deployment configurations, scripts, and infrastructure automation.
- Support application deployment and orchestration within development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Integrate automated security controls and vulnerability scanning into software development and deployment pipelines.
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot build, integration, deployment, and runtime issues.
- Maintain and improve source code management, artifact repositories, pipeline tooling, and development infrastructure.
- SupportInfrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices to enable repeatable and consistent environments.
- Implement and maintain application and infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.
- Support system performance, availability, resiliency, and operational reliability.
- Assist development teams with containerization, deployment architecture, environment configuration, and software integration.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and systems engineering teams to ensure technical solutions align with security, compliance, and mission requirements.
- Support vulnerability remediation, patching, configuration management, and software supply chain security activities.
- Develop technical documentation for pipelines, deployment processes, environment configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile development activities, technical planning, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.
- Evaluate and implement new DevSecOps tools and practices where they improve security, automation, reliability, or software delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Experience supportingDevOps or DevSecOps environments.
- Hands-on experience developing or maintainingCI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with container technologies such asDocker.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such asKubernetes, OpenShift, or Rancher.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD platforms such asGitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Linux-based systems and command-line administration.
- Experience scripting or automating technical processes usingPython, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Understanding of software development, integration, testing, and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with secure software development and vulnerability management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders.
