Senior Development Manager – AI First Delivery & Transformation

LSEG Data | Corporate Actions

Role Purpose

The Engineering Manager is accountable for the delivery, migration, modernisation, and transformation of one or more Corporate Actions products. The role combines people leadership, technical leadership, product delivery accountability, and AI-first engineering practices to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and commercially critical platforms.

The successful candidate will lead teams through complex transformation programmes while establishing and scaling AI-enabled software delivery, multi-agent engineering practices, and governed engineering control planes across the Software Development Lifecycle.

Technical

I lead AI-first engineering teams delivering complex products, migrations, and transformation programmes. I bring deep expertise in multi-agent software delivery, engineering control planes, agent orchestration, context engineering, and AI-enabled SDLC practices.

I establish standards for agent-assisted requirements, architecture, development, testing, governance, security, and operations while ensuring human accountability remains clear for all material decisions.

Mandatory Experience

Strong hands-on engineering background in either .NET/C# or Java enterprise development.

Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or Bash.

Experience developing and operating containerised applications using Docker and modern cloud-native engineering practices.

Experience leading engineering teams delivering distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and modern software platforms.

Experience implementing AI-assisted or agent-enabled software delivery practices.

Desirable Experience

Customer Focus

I ensure engineering teams remain focused on customer outcomes, service quality, and business value. I use AI and automation to accelerate delivery, improve product quality, reduce operational friction, and modernise legacy platforms without compromising reliability or trust.

Risk Management

I establish governance and control frameworks for AI-enabled engineering. I ensure agents, models, tools, and delivery workflows operate within defined security, compliance, operational resilience, and risk boundaries.

I balance delivery speed with appropriate engineering controls, auditability, observability, and release readiness.

Leadership

I lead high-performing engineering teams through product delivery, platform modernisation, cloud adoption, and large-scale transformation initiatives.

I create a culture where engineers effectively collaborate with AI agents, enabling teams to focus on architecture, decision-making, innovation, and customer outcomes rather than repetitive execution.

I coach and develop engineers, technical leads, and future leaders while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Analytical

I use engineering, operational, delivery, and quality metrics to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement.

I establish measurable evidence for AI effectiveness, engineering productivity, quality improvement, delivery acceleration, operational resilience, and business outcomes.

Adaptability

I champion modern engineering practices and continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies, agent frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and software delivery models.

I help teams evolve from traditional software development approaches towards governed AI-native engineering operating models.

Communication

I communicate complex technical, delivery, transformation, and AI-related concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

I build confidence in AI-enabled delivery by explaining risks, controls, trade-offs, and outcomes in a transparent and evidence-based manner.

Key Accountabilities
