Senior Designer & Multimedia (9501)

Friends University is seeking to fill the Senior Designer, Multimedia position in Wichita Kansas. This position serves as senior graphic designer of print, web, video, and social media materials that consistently apply the University's established brand standards, in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the University. The lead producer of photography and video content, ensuring consistent implementation of the University's brand framework across all marketing outputs. Utilizes a combination of strong project management, interpersonal, marketing, graphic design, photography and video production skills to ensure publications and visual content are accessible, up-to-date and responsive to the University's needs. As a member of a small collaborative team, this position works as a marketing generalist and contributes to projects beyond its primary are of focus as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the creation of print, digital, photo, and video content that promotes the University’s mission, brand, and value proposition.
• Design and manage marketing projects from concept to completion while ensuring consistent application of University brand standards.
• Develop creative assets for enrollment marketing campaigns, recruitment initiatives, and institutional storytelling.
• Create and maintain engaging content for social media, digital platforms, electronic displays, and other communication channels.
• Collaborate with campus departments and external vendors to support marketing goals, maintain visual asset libraries, and keep content aligned with recruitment, admissions, and institutional priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of progressive design, digital and print; including photography and video production experience, preferred.

A bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, marketing, eBusiness/eCommerce and/or related degree is required.

Excellent written, visual, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.

Advanced knowledge and experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite); video editing experience (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects) required. Ability to organize and present information in effective, easy-to-use ways. Strong writing, editing and spelling skills. Knowledge of Associated Press style desired. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task. Microsoft Office Suite, experience. Ability to maintain confidential information.
