Senior Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Primary Responsibilities

• Work to create new designs and/or modify existing designs with a focus upon improved manufacturability, increased product performance, and higher overall product quality
• Works as a Subject Matter Expert for their SolidWorks programs; helping train new drafters and designers
• Work with various engineering groups as well as sales and project management to provide relevant documents and design to internal and external stakeholders
• Use Solidworks to create accurate, complete and concise engineering documentation
• Coordinate design changes with external and internal shareholders
• Document design specifications for continuation once project is initiated
• Special projects as they arise

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Associates Degree will be considered with appropriate experience
• 5+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on design
• Advanced SolidWorks expertise; Power User or Certification preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
